In the week from 6 to 10 December 2021, Greiner Bio-One and the charity "Geben für Leben" invited all employees at the Kremsmünster site to a typification and donation campaign. Over 60 people responded to the call and are now hoping to help a sick person as a stem cell donor. Thanks to a flexible participation concept, the campaign was successfully implemented despite the current restrictions and in compliance with the necessary safety measures. Voluntary participants were able to come by in person on the first day or pick up a typification kit for self-testing on the remaining days. As part of the campaign, money was also raised and the company gave a further donation. The charity will benefit from a total of 1,000 euros, which will be used to finance further typifications.
We are particularly proud of the recurring charity collection which forms part of the Greiner Bio-One Christmas celebrations. In just a few minutes our new colleagues collect donations for our local social fund.
We run, nordic walk and walk for those who cannot! In recent years our participation in the Wings for Life Worldrun has become a tradition. Our colleagues start at different places around the world and help to make a difference to those who have suffered paraplegia!
Whether the participants are new to running, have been training for years or are enthusiastic Nordic walkers, everyone is welcome at Herzlauf - according to the motto: "Take care of your heart and run for mine!"
With our participation at the Herzlauf in Traun, Upper Austria, we support children with heart problems and their families through the organization Herzkinder Österreich.
More than 50,000 blood reserves are needed annually to supply all hospitals in Upper Austria with blood and blood products. Operations without blood reserves? Nearly impossible. Blood is still the number one emergency medication and cannot be produced artificially. Together with our partner from the Blood Centre Linz, we organized a pre-Christmas blood donation campaign for the first time in 2019, thereby supporting the provision of blood products.
Greiner Bio-One supports a Swiss Red Cross (Schweizerisches Rotes Kreuz) project to modernize the blood donor service and the provision of safe blood supplies for Syrian refugees and the wider public in Lebanon.
